actually, you've got it all wrong, soopa and CLpower got in a fight cause CLpower said the chrome wheels soopa liked looked ridiculous on the car. Soopa didn't agree, angel stuck up for CLpower and in short banned them both

if you read up on the threads it goes back way farther than that. the incident with the wheels was just the last thinf that happened. there is definately a history there.

 

well actually, there isn't much history of it, and the final straw was the AEM thread. A man should be able to take what he dishes out, obviously soopa could not.

welcome back bro! how much did the iasca rule book cost you? it goes up every year. let me know, i might be getting one, i used to know all the iasca rules but they change like i change socks.

I think its $120.00 now... I may be wrong.. we'll see though!!!

I have some new equipment from them thats not released yet so they may pick me up on the team for tuning and the amount of $$$ i spent on their equip.... besides the are the only ones who can tune there shit Right!!!! so Ill see you there....

um, casper, you want the rulebook way before you start installing anything into your car. the rulebook will lay out the correct way to install everything (correct by iasca standards, which can be overkill). and i dont want anyone telling me they know how to do it because they did it for their buddy's car! there are many ridiculous things required by iasca to win anything in sq or sq+. did you know your power wire needs to be secured to the floor of your vehicle every 6 inches!!!! you will need pics of absolutely everything too.

last time i checked the rulebook was $40. told you they go up. the more you compete in iasca the more you will either love it or hate it. i hate it for a few reasons:

1. iasca has changed many rules over the years, one being you would get points for stickers of sponsors on your car. this is stupid and holds no value in true car audio competition.

2. it is so big, and every car audio store can enter their demo against normal people's car the first year in the novice category. unfair, and unregulated.

3. nationals are based on a points system throughout the year, which means you can have the most perfectly centered soundstage in all of the country, but you wont win the big one if you dont travel all year to sanctioned iasca shows to compete. again, this limits your ability to win a car stereo comp by eliminating people who cant travel every weekend.

4. some events are double and even triple points events, which can kil you for the same reason as above.

there are tons of other reasons. no doubt, the shows are awesome and are one of a kind. and if you like that type of competition, thne you will love it, but i feel you can get slammed for alot of different things not even related to car audio. just my $.02 good luck!

I was talkin with the guy thats doing my system today... I was seriously off with my info... He has done cars for Zapco, JL and many others.. He is well known amongst the circuit.... I leave it in his hands....

I also found out that the registration is now only $20.00 and the rule book has gone down to only $17.00... maybe $40.00 with IASCA CD... Either way... Its happening... and actually the rules were changed according to the installer to every 4" on the wires... thats alotta wire ties...lol

wanna hear another goofy rule for points!! not sure if this is still around, but i heard if all the screws in your setup are turn the exact same way you get install points! oh well

also, let me know your 2002 show schedule on the east cost, maybe we could meet up. probably wont make anything in florida until may, but there are kick ass shows in carlisle pa. best anywhere north of atlanta imo.

My car is good... put a couple of things on the Christmas list (intake, interior trim, etc.) plus I'm working on getting the stereo upgraded (nothing fancy, probably just adding 2 10"s). I'll be around this spring (hopefully) so I can make an appearance or two at some local meets!!

 

you know I am selling my box... with 2 10" W3 JL Audio woofers.. knocks to high heaven.... i want $400 with box... no map.. my brother taking it.... we can negotiate price w/out box... i have W! woofers too.... W#s are ayear old, W1s are 3 years old
