I lent my car to my Dad. He brings it back and says Jeez you better get that steering wheel checked out. He goes on to tell me that at low speeds the whell shakes / bounces quite a bit. I Freak out, hop in it 30km and the wheel shakes like a mother when I take it up to about 80K the shaking is gone. I have check the pressure in the tires and they are good. What the hell is going on!

 

Whoa....my car bounced at all speeds, and it was the rear struts....and when it was shakey at high speeds, it was balancing...

Your problem is like opposite haha....you got me bummed

 

check the balance of the tires

also does it do it when you brake? you may need new brakes if it does it when you brake

what about your wheel bearings? i know mine did this a little b4 but when i did my brakes they replaced the bearings as well since they were damaged a little, so maybe check the wheel bearings

 

Tell your dad he broke your car, then make him pay to fix it

my car does the same thing.....take it past 60 mph and the steering wheel will quiver a little.

my dad said it might be a tire balance, but then again my dad is a chemist

 

Bent rotors maybe?
