I need to stop wasting money on little things
I've spent a couple hundred dollars in just light bulbs for my car mostly all exterior, not counting the grand I spent on my projector head lights, and I'm still not satisfied with my exterior lights, anyone else dropped ridiculous amounts of money on one particular thing cuz u keep changing it? I know klepto's been through like 10 coil setups, but thus far I've bought 4 different sets of headlight bulbs, 2 different sets of high beam bulbs, 2 different sets of corner lenses, and 6 different sets of corner bulbs (3 top and 3 bottom), 1 set of chrome amber turn signal bulbs, 3 sets of LED wedge bulbs for my guages, not to mention all the LED bulbs for my interior, I'm probably around $300-400 on just light bulbs. Not counting the $100 i dropped on projector d2s HID bulbs. And I'm still not happy, I'm happy with my extreme white corners top and bottom, but I was looking today at amber LED bulbs for my turn sigs to brighten up my turn sigs through the smoked corners. I just want to stop being so picky with this stuff I keep trying to match everything and it is just out of hand anymore.

Greg, you were the one tellin me to throw LED bulbs in there in the first place I do put a lot of effort and thought into it, too much that's my problem. But I decided not to buy the amber LED turn signals yet, I'm gonna go home and evaluate how bright the ambers come out of the smoked corners, but chances are I'll get them, it just needs to end, I have like 10 sets of light bulbs that I took out of the car, when they were replaced each set I spent $25-50 on

I feel your pain. I spent almost $40 for the LEDs in my interior, plus another $10 more to switch the map lights out because blue doesn't work very well to read. Then another $25 or so for LEDs for the corners. One of them short circuited and took out 3 fuses. Multiple times. So then I bought all incandescents for the exterior because I didn't trust the "cheap" LEDs anymore. Next up are 9005's modified for my low beams until I decide to go HID.

I hear ya man...I about to drop 1200 on a set of 18 inch old school jdm meshies, and another 700 for coilovers. After that I think I'm done, with exception of maybe a front lip. Already have the car pc setup parts, just too lazy to break out the dremel and abs sludge. And already have the tsx projectors and ballasta and bulbs...this is my third retro and I pieced together all the parts for about 210 bucks. But yeah...money pit...but I'm buying pretty much all quality parts that I know I can part back out for as much if not more, should I ever decide to sell.

I'm finding I'm getting too old to be modding the car too much, especially after buying my first house.. although there are a few things I would do if I had more free time, like cleaning out the EGR passages. I can't be bothered to change things that don't make much difference to the operation of the car. At the same time, I respect those whose cars are their hobby.. it's good for one to have worthwhile interests. To me, the tires and the suspension are more important than anything else, I sure wasn't happy with the stock setup. Might do sways but will stop there unless any of the bushings look like they're splitting

Dan I hear ya, I just bought my first house and the modding has died to almost nothing, still building a show car, my financing is just dried up to nothing right now while I adjust and get used to it. Sways are a great upgrade, you really only need the rear sway and I highly recommend them, the bushings I'm also the biggest advocate for on my forum, they are great. I sometimes feel like I'm too old to dump money in my car, but hey it's a hobby and it's what I love to see come together in the end, so it's fun.
