I just want to know about exhausts

this may seem like a dumb question, by my friend led me to believe the '97 3.0 CL's were a bit diff from the 98's and 99's. will a full catback system labeled "For 1998 3.0 CL" fit on a 97 without problems?

would an

"Accord 98-2002 2Dr V6 (Dual) HKS Sport System"

fit on my '97 3.0 CL? i only find exhausts labeled for 3.2 CL's and for first gen tehre are only 2.2/2.3s. i know my 3.0 CL is a single outlet but would that system fit anyway?

I like the sound of the greddy sp my friend had it on his turbo accord and you could hardly hear the exhaust.

The piping for a '98/'99 3.0CL will fit on the '97.

The only difference between the 2 exhaust systems is that the '97 uses a "donut"-type (cermaic) gasket and spring bolts between the tail pipe and the mid-pipe. The '98/'99 uses a metal gasket and no spring bolts (just regular bolts) to connect the 2 pipes.

can i just use normal bolts instead of the spring ones? isnt it just a matter of changing them out?

If you're getting a complete cat-back system, it should included all the bolts you'll need. You shouldn't need any of the OEM bolts.

I was just pointing out the small difference in the 2 designs.

Im pretty sure that greddy sp needs to be cut a inch or 2 to have it fit. The model you need is accord 94-97

SP2 is better quality.

I actually just bought an Greddy SP for a 98-02 accord that i'm just gonna cut the canister off of and make fit my car. I did it this way cause I got the exhaust used for 120$
