How would a CF hood look like on my car?

My hood is all chipped up, along with my kinda fubar'd front bumper. It makes a otherwise very good condition car look terrible . Instead of getting the hood repainted when I replace the front bumper should I opt for a CF hood instead? I could tint the windows dark, so that would go with the hood and the unpainted bottom trim would kind of match it too. I have clear corners now too, but I could buy another pair of ambers if it made it flow better.

oh yea, and it wont be that low for too long. Its hard to daily drive a car thats got 2" of ground clearance in the front... So I'm getting a eibach prokit to replace my neuspeed race's (leaving the illuminas though).

edit: I'm getting my financial aid check ($3000-3500 hehe) every month so I'll have cash (about $1500 after food/gas/rent to fuck around with).

my bumper and hood are pretty mangled too. i think a CF hood would look good. tint the windows and do blackhousings and it will have a nice contrast of primrose and black. i think it would look good

lol They give you a LOT more then you need to live off (even comfortably), I have to pay it back eventually so I might as well have some fun with it.

If your stock hood's jacked up, buy a cf hood, however it's not gonna look right if your front bumper's all jacked up.

I meant get a Cf hood instead of a repaint, but I would still be replacing my bumper. From the quotes I've gotten so far the cost would be about the same.

So, you're taking your beautifully slammed CL, and putting prokits on it? such a shame. But the hoods do look sexy as HELL. I love mine. Can't put it back on till spring though, after paint

Well I was thinking about Neuspeed sports but it still might be too low, the Illuminas drop the car an additional 1.5". Right now its lowered roughly 3.7" (seems like more in the front) if I could just get it high enough to where I could carry more then 1 passenger and get over most speedbumps and driveways without sliding on the undercarriage I would be happy.

Thanks for the heads up.

If i were him, i'd bag the money in a high yield bank account and pay it back ASAP as to avoid paying intrest.

But at his age, i probably would have been doing the same thing - and even now if i had all the answers, someone would be paying me for my and my bank account shows a lack of this extra income.

Hmmmm maybe Neuspeed sports would be fine, I drove down to Santa Barbara with my roommate to pick up a light meter ($225 a piece >_<) for school and it wasnt too bad. We're not exactly the lightest guys in the world, so I clicked my Illuminas up to 5 (usually at 4 in the front) to compensate for an extra passenger. If the front was an inch higher it wouldnt rub (it didnt set on 5 actually, and was a smooth ride surprisingly). I bet if I had sport springs I could carry a carload of passengers without it bottoming out all over the place and make it over MOST speedbumps with minumal scraping...

Or maybe I'll just leave it as it is... It does look good

I dunno, an extra inch of ground clearance would be nice for safety, I bottomed it out nicely on the 101 coming through LA and scraped my exhaust going 80 (it was a big dip though).

edit: I'm surprised, I've put about 1500 miles on these tires (falken ziex V rated) and even though I have some good camber there is no wear on the tires (I measured the tread depth and it was identical on the inside and outside edges). I was expecting to see cord within a week since I havent put any camber adjustment (or even gotten an alignment yet lol).

I love your drop, if you're gonna have more people in the car regularly get some coils, or sport springs like u said, cuz you gotta make up the height difference, but that's up to you, the drop is sick you could always move on and start on the next mods

LOL

Ummm an old country fence just jumped out in front of me. Well actually I was visiting a friend in his house in the country (aka middle of nowhere) near Paso Robles, was driving around a few friends and I hit some gravel going around a sharp 90* corner and plowed an old fence >_> (two loose 8x8 posts, three spiny metal bars and some barbed wire (those things you see on the side of the road). I left a note and all, but the guy never contacted me so w/e, from what I heard its been hit dozens of times.

Yea I noticed that too, but its been like that ever since I got it.

Its more noticeable now that its slammed, but its always been like that. All the seams are parallel, I dunno maybe my car's just wierd.

Front left:

Front Right:

the car might have been in an accident at one time, but it doesnt really matter it wasnt that expensive to begin with ($4700 after haggling).
