How Do You Reset The ECU?

How Do You Reset The ECU?

i have a 99 3.0CL and would like to know where and how to do it...shortcuts and the right way would both be good...

Just disconnect the battery (Disconnect the negative first!). You'll need a 10mm socket.

well disconnecting the neg is all you really need to do, but you could pull the ecu fuse and wait if you dont have the radio code, assuming stock hu.

if i install a muffler do i need to reset the ecu?...but def. for a muffler right?

disconnect the neg, step on brakes till the brake lights don't go on nemore, then reconnect the battery. if you have a learning ecu, then drive fast for awhile, and the car will be faster

You don't need to but it's a good idea to.
