Hood Bounces and I dont know why

Ok. When im driving my car i look at my hood, and i can see it bouncing. I have checked all of my bump stops and they are fine(i even told acura about it and they just adjusted the bumps and said it was fine. When the car is stopped, i can grab the front of the hood and lift it up and it wont lift. Its tight. I have tightened all the bolts on the hood. I cant figure out why it bounces. But it is just one more thing that is driving me to trade this thing in. Plus the fact my dad just got a brand new full size dodge truck. I want it bad! But anyways. I dont want to trade it in cuz i really do like it, but its just the little things that are driving me INSANE. Could someone please help me. Thanks.

Is the latch release not fully engaging the latch itself? Just curious.

I have checked all of that. I can double check that. I even moved the latch down a little so i would have to shut it harder to make it close.

But it does bounce at the front or back. That is the only thing I could imagine would allow your hood to bounce. Is your grill modified? could be broken laminar flow under the hood.

It only bounces on the front drivers side. I have even thought that it is not the hood that it is boucing but the side panel that is boucing. Could that be?

It is possible, thought of one other thing. The hood is made of a few parts that are tacked together. Is there a broken weld on your hood. Is the hood panel loose from its supporting structure?

I never thought of that. I may look at that today at lunch...This car is killing me and the only thing that is tying me to it is that everything that is done to it, i have done with my own blood sweat and tears. The box i built myself, i lowered it BY MYSELF. GRRRRRRRR....

Thumbs up

I have noticed the same thing. The hood moves more than on my previous cars. I don't really think it is a problem.

hehe you do have a point. I'm not saying I don't love my acura, but if you look at their history, EGR's, tranny's, ignitions, brakes, etc etc, they do have a high maintenance, constant break down history. Much like women, very high maintenance, always breaking down and demanding TLC

It's all in how you treat 'em. Never noticed my hood moving. I have a number of squeaks and rattles, but so be it... The car is not brand new. I don't expect perfection.
