Does anyone experience very high rpm like 3,500 ~ 4,000 or so when they hit the pedal very softly to accelerate ?? For kicking down, then there'd be no problem. But even gentally accelerate, the rpm still goes that high. Weird !!

well are you talking aboyt from stop or roll???
If you are driving and you are border line 3rd to 4th gears it will automatically kick the gear lower....
from stop... my car revs high in first no matter what.. gentle or hard.... she shifts no lower than 3500rpms.... I think 1st has a long rev out point...

I'm talking about accelerating from a complete stop. Hitting high rpm on the first gear no matter soft hit or hard hit to the pedal.

 

yea... I am assuming its normal I got it too... Some one wrote this in another thread....
could explain it right there!!!! Slow, hesitating and windy acceleration for a few extra mileage in fuel.... could be!!
