Why is it that I can buy just about anything body-wise for my 98 CL 3.0 for a couple of hundered bucks, but when I crack my freaking spoiler, the replacement is $611.98 unpainted without install. Makes no damn since to charge that bloody much for a factory spoiler. Lucky for me, the bodyshop can fix the mounts on mine and not have to replace it. Repaint and remount for $300.71. So this says to me, that if I had to, it would cost me almost a $1000.00 to have the spoiler on my car replaced. You know, you can almost replace your entire power train for that. I mean really, the spoiler has no moving parts and one light lead. I think Acura should quit gouging people for the piddly crap.

Another example of gouging; I had a broken wheek cover on my 90 Integra, rest its soul, the dealer wanted $80 a peice for these plastic covers. I bought 2 at a Honda/Acura Salvage for $20. What, is Acura making these parts out of platinum, are the spoiler's LED lamps lined with diamond crust or something.

Just wanted to rant.

check spoiler depot, my sister got a OEM replica for her 2002 civic for $190......PAINTED!

I have found a few replicas. I guess that would work if they find they can't fix mine. I'm sure it will be fine... Just burns me up about that gouging thing.

I guess that is the price one pays for driving the best...
