Help! Rubbing with rims... pix
Couple of days ago i pick up 18 racing hart c2 w/ 225/40/18 with +42 offset. I am rubbing everytime I make a u-turn or turning hard. The guy at the shop said that i would need to shave the fenders instead of rolling it. So it would cost me $100 per fender to shave it. What should i do?

Your pictures don't work and $400 is a RIP OFF! You should've gotten +45 offset, but it's too late for that. Do you know what it's rubbing on? Is it rubbing on the fender or the fender liner. Are you dropped? Do you have a camber kit?

hrmm well is seems as though you might too low, i would try getting your tires aligned to check that everythings in spec. Sometimes really lowered cars will rub on u-turns and theres not much you can do, my friends car was like that. He didnt want to pay to get his fenders rolled so he just left it. If it really bothers you and you plan on busting a lot of U-turns or something, i would get your fenders rolled after you get an alignment

Your car was pretty low when I saw it. I had 42 offset on my CL and it didn't rub. Perhaps it was because I didn't have the camber kit on. My back actually tucked. Had it been straight, it would have rubbed. $100 per fender sounds like a lot for someone to just use a cutting wheel on it. If you want your fenders rolled, just make sure the person knows what they are doing. It's easy to do it wrong and end up with chipped paint.

Would be fun, if I had the money. Sounds like an awesome roadtrip.
Maybe it's your camber kit? I've heard that causes problems sometimes. Get it aligned as mentioned before and see if that works.

225/40's sound alittle too wide. mine come somewhat close and i got 215/35's im not sayin go with the 35's cause they suck. im always lookin out for curbes and pot holes n shit. but maybee a 215/40 would set you straight.
