Help Me Asap

Hey guys, I went to CARX to get a price for piping on a new performance muffler and they gave me a price of 315.00 for piping labor, welding,etc. I was talking to the guy and he was showing me what they were going to do. He showed me the cat and then the resonator, he said he would basically cut off the stock piping from the catalytic converter back, and use 2.25 inch piping fromt he cat to the muffler, hterefore eliminating the resonator? Is this what you guys have had done? This sems very very very expensive.

Question: The header comes down to the cat, and then the cat to the resonator and resonator to muffler right?

Let me know if I am doing something wrong.

He also mentioned that he coul do something ele where he didnt touch the resonator but put basically a foot or less worth of 2.25 inch piping connecting to the new muffler. I am wnating the new exhaust to be louder and deeper than the stock exhuast.

Let me know what you guys did when you had yours made.

I am going to buy the muffler today

Seems like alot of money. Is it mandrel bent piping? I got my mandrel bent piping done for 120$ which included them welding my N1 on. Also, they shouldn't have to cut anything off the stock exhaust. They should un-bolt it and put a flange on the exhaust they are making for you that way you can simply bolt on your exhaust later.

And yes, I got rid of my resonator. It goes cat, resonator, muffler.

so basically they should cust off the resonator, put a flange on the tewo pipes and bolt on the new bent pipes? Basically isnt that a cat back exhaust?

i got 2.25 catback and they pulled the resonator and i didnt really notice that much noise diff with it in or out i(first i just hung the muff with stock pipe DONT ASK WHY) but now since i got a powercore race cat my exhuast rattles alot BUT YEAH GO AHEAD AND PULL THE RESONATOR
