Help!!! Car keeps reving!
I'm trying to do Seafom on my 2.3 not really knowing what im doing. From what i know all you have to do is disconnect the vacume line and suck it in there.
Assuming the PCV line is the vacuum line I disconnected the part of the hose closest to the head. When i did that the car started to rev up to 3000 RPMs ever other second. Is this how the engine is suppose to respond and is it safe to do Seafom while it reving like that ?
I've searched and cant find a DIY for the 2.2/2.3 for this. Help me out!

I'm not really sure what your saying... THis is what happend. Before I began to put the seafom through the line I turned the car on then I disconnected the PCV line. When I disconnected the PCV line the car started to rev up on its own. I got a lil scared then i turned it off because I didnt know if it was safe to have the engine running like that, hence the question.
So, is it safe for the engine to run like that while I put the seafom into the line or is there another line I should be using?

-unhooked vaccume line
-put line into bottle
-started car
-revved till can was empty
-watched the smoke show
-laughed when neighbour ran outside after seeing all the smoke
-re-connected vaccume line
-drove around to get rid of all the smoke
that about sums it up...

Seafom was a success. Car smoked like a thousand chimnies. Car idles smoother, runs smoother and vtec seems to kick in harder. All in all, its some good shit.

does anyone have a pic of the vacuum line which the seafoam is supposed togo through for the 2.X?
btw, ur supposed to use the seafoam motor treatment right?
edit: found a pic. http://eden.rutgers.edu/~wsfiv/location.jpg
which end are we supposed to suck it through? is it supposed to go through the manifold or through the valve cover? i'm assuming manifold.

CHuckz, disconnect the hose from the PVC plug and suck the seafom into the manifold.
rEmixnZZa, I bought mine at Autozone. Its in a white bottle with the word "Seafom" in red. Its on the shelve with the fuel system cleaners.
