help--------buying new tires for stock rims

i am buying new tires for my stock rims until i can afford 19's, should i go with low profile tires? and 215 or 225... any help is much appreciated

umm i suggest u just stay wit wat is our stock numbers which i think are 205/55

Id just get whatevers the cheapest... and stick with the stock size... IMHO

the tires for your stock rims are 205/55-16 I believe... you can't go much wider on the stock rims (215 or 225) since the rim width is like 6.5 or 6 inches?? I don't even know but bottom line is they won't fit. If you go with a low profile your speedmeter and odometer will be screwed up since your "whole wheel" will be smaller.

If someone has the link to the miata tire calculator please post it.

and y 19's? 18s will sit nice and the 225/40-18 fits almost perfectly with the 205/55-16 so there will be minimal spedo and odo adjustments.
