Heads up on a fairly cheap 240 HP J30 engine from the new accords

Guys there's a J30 from the new generation Accord with Tranny for sale super cheap on Ebay. The price right now is 790, and the buy it now price is only 890. This is the 240 HP V6 engine, and I already asked the seller and yes the tranny is automatic though, but it's still a banging deal.

Link to EBAY Listing

This would make a fun project for one of the 3.0 owners (like me) who has a nice chunk of change laying around (unlike me).

unlike me either, my money's tied up in my rims, 5 lug conversion, tint, brakes, suspension, and a closet full of new shit waiting to go on. No new motor for me. Nice deal though.

I doubt it'll take heavy modifications. The engine is the same series and same displacement and from what I read the exterorior dimensions are almost exactly the same only difference is that the new J30 is slightly smaller.

I'd be willing to be that this swap would be no more difficult then swapping an H22A into a civic and an experienced shop should be able to handle this no problem.

I would try and find an ECU somewhere though to avoid headaches.

If you can swap a K into an EK, you can do this. The hardest part would be the wiring, and the mounting of the shifter since it's a different chassis. And the auto - manual swap of course.

True true, so how is the sex change budget coming along? Are you almost there, or are you still in the back alley price range?

dont their's run off a coilpack system...the ecu would be a must to find in order for it to work. Our cars run off a distributor. Even the 00' accords run off the coilpack system.
