Headlights Restored to New Again!!!
I know, I know, this topic has been covered on this forum before, but I thought I would share my experience.
After recently purchasing a used '97 CL, at the top of my list was to fix the cloudy headlights. To accomplish this, I purchased a product called "Lensrenew" for about $30. In the package came a drill assembly with a round pad covered with Velcro, a course sanding pad, a lambs wool velcro backed disc, a med grit velcro backed disc, a foam velcro backed disc, some rubbing compound and some plastic polish. The process is a four step process that took all of 15 minutes per headlight. Most of the hard work was done by the hand drill.
In short, the process involves wet sanding off the damaged layer of plastic with the course sanding pad and sanding and polishing the roughed up surface with the smoother pads. The instructions that came with the product were easy to follow.
This was a very simple project that anyone with a hand drill and a spray bottle can accomplish. I have plenty of product left over to do several more headlights.
I am sure you can purchase the raw materials for cheaper, but the drill attachment and velcro pad system worked great!

Unfortunately I don't have a digital camera (still in the stone ages), but the picture on the main page of the lensrenew website is a very good representation of the difference that I experienced on my '97 CL. One of my headlights was completely cloudy, the other had a cloudy streak all across the middle 1/2 of the lens.
I believe there are several competing products on the market. What I liked about this one was the drill assembly/attachements. It made the job quick and easy.
