HCI cover car = widebody orange CL

i just read the new HCI mag, the widebody orange CL is the cover car! pretty cool article on how it underwent the building process. the interior looks sick, but i'm still not feeling the exterior. seems like there are too many things going on, but don't quite flow together.

props to the owner for making cover though!

just got to post this what they said in the article.......

"The engine compartment was dressed up with some serious show goodies from STR, including polished brake cap, clutch cap, V-tech cap and dipstick."

They are a Import mag and they dont know how to spell VTEC right

it has to be. look at the dish/lip on those rims and they sit flush with the fender. my wheels right now, no dish like that sit flush.

It is a wide body. If you look at the side shot, u could see that the rear quarter panel flares out. U guys are use to seeing fender flares and calling them wide body, which they're not.

yeah i think that he built out the entire fender, rather than adding flares like most widebodys you see. Thats my take on his car

wow that flat front end looks pretty nice actually. the side skirts look real nice with the widened fenders.

splitters don't look so bad but I think are unessacary but I guess for show, those and the wing are + points.

I was under the impression widebody was used for cars with an actual WIDE body, such as the older American cars

:imwithstupid:

my mustang im working on a 67 mustang with a 351 windsor swap headers and all we are trying a wide body conversion for the back to get some slicks on it so we can add a SC to the 351 block

but i thought the same thing about wide body, with imports i thik the correct term would be fender flares but IDK

.

the rims are 19x8.5 and he is running 215/35-19 on those? really? does that tire width still fit on a 8.5" rim? since on mine which are also 8.5 I think it is either a 225 or 235...

or he wanted super low profile tires since he isn't planning to drive that thing anywhere... so the 35 series on a 19" on a 215 width is like an inch of sidewall?
