Has anyone ever successfully aligned d2s bulbs in a 9006 housing?

the reason i am asking this is because im planning on getting a kit with the d2s bulbs and i dont want to do the projectors right now because im poor and dont have time. i just wanted to know how hard it is to place the d2s bulbs in the stock housing without doing much work. will a need to make an adapter of some sort? i have searched and also found that the d2s bulbs might be hard to line up (focus). how hard do you (if anyone has expierenced this before) think this will be? i really dont want to buy a $400 kit because i dont like their choices of colors because the lowest kelvin i found was 5200k and i really want to get a 4100k kit. thanks for all of your help/suggestions.

i personally have not done it but by looking at the bulbs side by side it seems u need to shave the outer ring off the d2s bulbs to be able to push them in far enough. then i would cut the 9006 tab off a bulb. hollow out the center and slide it onto the d2s bulb. figure out where u need it then jb weld it. no modification to your headlamp is needed. its all modifiying the bulb.

my price for ballasts and bulbs is $225 right now, but i only have bulbs. i dont expect any ballasts until early march
