H22A HElP!!!

Have a H22A swampped in my CL. Also did a tranny swap... Dont think that should matter... Car is OBD II ecu and engine is OBD I.... Car is throwing code ... Mechanic says its 02 sensor. He checked the 02 sensor and it is fine nothing wrong with it. But it continues to throw code and the only other symptom is the car is hesitating when the car is cold but once the car heats up, it still throws the code but hestitation is gone. Mechanic says injectors is shooting too much fuel. He is kinda stumpped on what is wrong... any help would be appreciated. Only 1 of my 02 sensor is plugged in so it is not that. Pretty sure the wiring is correct... bc we used a piggy back had the same problem then he wired it by hand it still had the same problem.

Are you using a obd2 p5m ecu off a '97+ lude?
Have you tried using a lude o2 sensor instead of a cl primary o2 sensor?
Theres alot that could be wrong and without seeing it would be kind of heard to say whats really wrong.

This is your problem. OBD2 ecus need two sensors or they will throw a code.

You can disable the second one and eliminate the check engine light here.

the H22a is a prelude engine that pumps out 200hp. the most important thing is that it is a manual transmission, whereas your 98 3.0 Cl will be an automatic. If you want to do a swap you're going to need to purchase either a 2.2 or a 2.3 manual tranny CL. From there, the swap will cost you an additional $3000-$6000 depending on what year the engine is, how many miles, and if you're beefing up the internals or not.
