situation: I want to hurry up and swap my 93 H22a into my 97 CL.

question: In MD, I have to pass emissions every so often, will the car pass after being converted to OBDI from OBDII? Or will it fail miserably?

For VA emissions, it has to be obdII or the engine must be same year as the car or newer. MD i think is the same, but i might be able to find you a guy to pass it either way if you have any trouble.

i dont know if they can tell any of the H22's here. it's still going to have the OBDII harness, but just an OBDI ecu.

i guess as long as i dont throw any CEL codes i should be fine. if not, there is always a hook-up i have.... but i'd like to keep it legit.

in CA if you do a OBDII to OBDI, it's a emission violation. i would find a emissions hookup before i throw all that in. OBDI gets rid of half the sensors that OBDII has to use. an h22 swap witha OBDII conversion will pass. Make sure that the VIN from you motor isn't reported stolen. I knew someone from Team Showcase who's integ had a stolen motor. Police took it away, gave him blue book for his car, pulled his motor, and auctioned the body.
