Thumbs down Grr piston slap..

well my cl has always made kind of a knocking noise at about 2000-2800 rpms (after 2800 it suddenly goes away) and ive never really known what it was besides an annoyance. well i was at work and decided to do an injection service on it. well our honda tech was listening to my car while the service was being done and said he could hear a knock/ping coming from the center of the block and he said its most likely piston slap. sound about right? any help is great.

well there isn't really a fix for it since its a problem of the piston wobbling in the sleeve of the cylinder. but its not really a major problem. more of an annoyance.. oh wells.

lol ya i know. and my trannys been having some problems as well with overdrive. i think i'll end up running the ol' f22 and tranny into the dirt and then opt for an h22 and five speed conversion. ugh... the joys of driving old cars

could just be the valves tapping, ask the guys at your work if they could do a valve adjustment

idk it sounds louder than just some clicky valves but it couldn't hurt anything. the thing that stumps me most is how it just vanishes above 2800 rpms...? the motor runs smooth and everything. its only real quirk is that knock/ping/click/wtf it is.
