GROUPBUY - Helix Power Tower
mods, please sticky.
here is how it works, the spacer is placed between your throttle body and intake manifold. this does 2 things, it creates a funnel effect of airflow, which is what the tornado claims to do but doesnt work in my opinion because it is too far from the manifold. second, witht the increased spaced, your air atomizes and mixes better with your fuel.
definitely noticeable, expecially after 2-3 weeks. dont ask why, but i noticed an increase in acceleration for about 2-3 weeks, i think it might have to do with the ecu.
they make a whistling sound, very noticeable, like a turbo spooling.
the only bad thing i have noticed is that they dont send the correct bolts with some of the kits, the v6's being one of them, you will need to buy 3 or 4 bolts from your local hardware store, which will run you around a whopping $5. the ones they come with are 2 short after you install the spacer.
10 or more people i will do $85 each + shipping. shipping will range from around $10 - $20 depending where you live.
yes, they are available for the 2.2 and 3.0 ( i think the 2.3 is the same as the 2.2.

i've used these on old chevy motors, so I know they do work.

Yea, i read upon them, they seem legit. One question though Ross, do you have a CAI attached with the spacer? My AEM is kinda close to metal, and i don't want it to rub that much. If it works with a CAI, i am in, with or without the groupbuy. PM me or post you paypal, or whatever online payment address you prefer. BTW, did you ever sell that air ride?

no im not bothering getting the bolts changed.
i cant tell you hp increase because i dont honestly know what 5, 10, or 50 hp feels like. none of you do unless you have played with dynos alot. but its noticeable. almost as much as a cai itself.
like i said... worth the money people, quit being so damn cheap! youll thank me. keep in mind im making about $175 on this deal, thats peanuts ladies, im doing it cuz i recommend it.

when you send payment, make sure you specify if you have a 2.2, 2.3, or a 3.0. dont forget your name and address either.
money orders, make payable to Mobile West, send to 7185 New Columbia Blvd. Bloomsburg, PA 17815. checks are the same, but will clear before the spacer is shipped out.
paypal, add $4 to the order ($105) cuz they rape the shit of me with fees.
credit card, add $2 ($103) just to cover my processing cost. visa and mc only, i need an you to send me an email with your phone number and i will call you to take the order.
clock starts now, you got until the first saturday of june to get me the money, this is a group buy. expect at least 2 weeks for the spacer to get there.

Thats what Im saying, Ive never heard about any noticable power gains with these until now (not saying these wont have any), I would just like some proof before making a final decision.

Even just a writen statement from some website reviews would be enough to convince me...I don't think I need to go that far and look for a dyno test but if someone does find something please post it...I still have about a week until I get the money to make the decision...

I'm curious about the gain with a 3.0, but I'm skeptical if all it does is slightly swirl air, it's not forcing it, or really causing a dramatic swirl....it sounds like a one inch lil thing?

here is a dyno chart for a 350. aint givin ya 20 hp on a 4 or 6, but by law these dyno charts have to be accurate within 3 hp (i think)

Yea, but they don't tell you what kind of dyno, I was watching the tornado infomercial and they were using some OLD POS dyno. It was like the one at my old school and it measures HP by 10's.
