i checked my boots they all look good and doesnt happen when i brake what could it be

when i back up fast it has loud screach like a horn almost

lower ball joint?...those are the symptoms i had then my wheel fell off...metal grinding noise when coming to a stop also?

when i turn my wheel hard my brake sheild scraps sumtin really bad...

yeah man my wheel fell off. lower ball joint broke...jack up the car and put one hand on the bottom of the tire and one hand on top and see if the wheel moves. back and forth moving of the wheel means the ball joint is either worn or shot...they had a recall on 97 2.2's for this.


rodxx that sounds like the joint, but i might be wrong.

turning the wheel at slow speeds or not moving metal grind....bumps sqeaks...and when coming to a stop metal crunching...its fucked up go to your dealership ASAP.

and DO NOT LET THE DEALERSHIP repack the joint with grease or whatever the fuck they tried doing to me twice...THEY HAVE TO REPLACE IT UNDER WARRANTY.

turns out it was a rear brake sensor gone bad

ok after the 9th speed bump i went over tonight (damn florida neighborhoods) i hear a Crunch noise coming from my front right wheel well after i go over the bump and i also hear it like every 1-2 seconds when im at a slow roll. This is the only time i hear it... What could it be?
