Gotta a weird sound in my 97 cl 3.0

When my car is in neutral or park there is a mild sound (almost like the ac compressor sonnd, but not that). When I put my car into drive or reverse this sound is gone. Is this my transmission? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

that's the ABS...happens to me all the time...car still stops

ABS Pump or something? This happens when the car is idiling. Thanks
