Do you know where you got caught speeding?
There is also some kind of aerosol spray that you put on your licence plate that won't let them figure out ur plate. Does any one who what its called?

That veil stuff looks kind of sketchy. Has anyone ever used this stuff?

The spray would only work if there is a flash. The idea is that it's reflective, and if the camera flashes (like at night) it'll just wash out the whole tag and they can't send you the ticket.

We only had a few red-light cameras in TN, then they found that the red-light cameras were "unconstitutional" here. Thank god.

I dont support it...jus trying to answer his question.

sh*t you wont see me buyin that!
.
They did get the whole car but if it works...they cant do much without the plates. If you cant see the plates...It can be anyone's car ...... no hard proof....

Hell jus buy it and speed thru there again...hit me back with the results

I still say spraypaint is the Best

Dam that sucks but atleast its only a $50 ticket. Where you going like 6 mph over the speed limit?

In Florida I think the speeding fines start at $112 but atleast they are no speeding cameras.

By the way wouldn't a radar detector be a simple counter measure against these cameras?

$50 for 15 mph over sounds pretty good. Considering I got a $100 ticket last month by a park ranger for possesion of lobster in Evergaldes National Park while on my boat.

Can you take it to court?
Maybe the cop doesn't show up .

Im sorry to hear that. I have to admit though, that picture is semi cool. I'd make a big sticker that reads "GO FUCK YOURSELF." Afterward, I'd purposely speed just to get a picture and then blow it up to a 1280x1024 resolution picture and save it as my desktop background. It'll look something like this:

I got several tickets a few weeks ago and they were for:

speeding- "100" in a 55
wreckless driving
no reconstruction permit (gay ass hawaii law)
no front license plate

I was on a car cruise at night and several of us CL's went to meet up in another part of town 10 minutes away. Right after leaving the Wendy's, we got onto the freeway and headed towards town. There were a few "packs" of cars. The first pack was gone (idiot street racers). Then there was us- around 12 cars total. Half the pack was cruising in the back, and the rest of us (including me) were in the front pacing each other at around 78 mph. The cars in the front all took off at the same time, and so I tried to catch up with them. Then, I see fucking blue and white's flash. I stepped on the brakes and moved on the side (because I'd figure they were going to go after those ahead that were speeding) But no, the cops followed me to the far right lane and I knew I was fucked. There were two cops that had came up to me. One guy asked for my papers and the other was checking out my car. One cop asked me if i knew how fast i was going. I replied 80. He told me I was going 100 mph, and then accused me of street racing. First of all, my car was not capable of going 100 mph because my friend and I had been working on my car and we hadn't installed some things for my car to have wide open throtle potential or of speeds like that (without ruining my turbo)- dispite my car being turbocharged. I called up my friend who had witnessed the whole thing, and he said there was only one cop car that pulled me over, and that cop had been following behind their pack. I don't see how the cops could get an accurate reading of my vehicles speed, while aiming their radar inside their car. Now, I am left with a court date to attend to and we shall see what happens then. Any feedback? Do you think I can fight their BS "100 mph in a 55" ticket?

That looks like 295-S. I go up and down 295 everyday. They've got unmarked patrol cars parked on the shoulder in different places with the gun and camera on the front of the car to get you as you pass. There's always some mofo sleeping in the front seat too. You can see the flash in your rear view if it catches you. Those things do nothing but cause a clusterfuck by slowing up traffic.

When they give you one of those tickets based on radar and photographic evidence, do they ever pull you over? How can they prove you were the one driving? How can they ticket someone without ID'ing the someone at the time of the infraction? It's not a parking ticket, it's a moving violation. Whassup with that?

You can't use a handheld unit while in motion.

They have installed radar that uses two antennas. It can tell your speed while the cop car is moving. Generally they have to be right behind you as they cannot move or aim the beam.

In most states "pacing" and "stopwatch" techniqes are still legal ways to tell your speed. Pacing just means they are following you at the same speed. Stopwatch is where they see you pass a mile marker, and time how long it takes for you to get to the next one. Most states require an average of 3-4 mile markers, usually this is done from a helicopter.

The ticket does not go on your record. It's just a ticket that u have to pay because, they don't know who at the time was driving. On the paper it says:

"Points will NOT be assessed against the registered owner or the designated driver for this violation."
