good news and bad news..
i just found out today that i have orders to mildenhall england (feb 28). that is the good news.. the bad news is the military will only pay to bring one car. and well i gots 2 kids and my other car is a 4 door explorer.. it looks as tho im gonna sell prescious the bad part is i really want to leave florida and live in england, but i dont want to give up my car. the wife wants to sell both and get a passat which would be alot more fuel efficient. maybee i can talk her into gettin a rl instead.. prolly will be the only one in england. i just wanted to vent alittle.

whhoaaa....wow..well glad to hear your moving where you'd like. I've never been to England but ive always wanted to go visit. And I donno what it is but i have the HOTS for girls with english/european accents...lol
Now wait....Keep the CL & ship it there, sell the explorer and buy a car over there. I know you can get shit wayyyy cheaper over there (say like in Germany) Like BMW's and stuff...

All I know is a family friend took Himself, His Wife, And their 2 kids on a trip over to Germany, and while they were there, (i think they stayed 5 days) They placed an order for a 3 series convertable. When they got back from the trip, they told us it was cheaper for them to take the vacation (all 4 of them) stay for 5 days and order a BMW there and have it shipped back here to the states. They said all of that was cheaper than just going to the local BMW dealer and ordering one.
Sooo im thinkin if you could get one there and just send it to England (not the US) it still would be cheaper. Just keep the CL and get the wifey a 5 series

yall are some vultures man.... lol..
well i just looked at the local laws and i have every one covered for prescious except 3. the side marker turn signals (drilled into the fender) which i guess i could do not willingly tho. a rear facing fog light (?) which i can do even tho it sounds stupid and the rear turn signals have to be amber. which is impossible (no euro lights avail for our cars) unless i can get my reverse lights to be turn signals somehow maybee by switching bulbs.

Sorry to hear that. You better visit us from time-to-time. I don't care if you're in England. You've contributed so much to ACL that we can't afford to loose you. Your knowledge is greatly appreciated, and I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone.
Are you going to part your car?
If so, I got dibs on your headers.
Here's where the voltures come in.

Look at this, a subject I can speak intelligently about. Congrats on the orders to England Will. When I was in the Army, I shipped my CL from Florida to Germany and had it over there 2 years. I did not have to have side markers, rear fog light, or amber turn signals. As long as the car can pass a basic safety inspection which meets US standards, your car is good to go. I cant comment on shipping 2 car thing, since I was single and only had my CL. It got a lot of attention over in Europe though, I drove it everywhere, even to Paris and Italy. Hope that helps a little bit.

Sorry man, you have such a nice whip and you did pretty much all of the work on it yourself (including the tranny rebuild). Truly an Acura professional.
You can do so much with a TSX. That engine is begging for some mods. Plus they come in 6 spd. And a nicer interior. Etc, etc, etc.
If you do get rid of precious, you could easily get some money back on it by selling the parts here. You've got a header purchase waiting right here

well i just went and looked at the tsx.. the only one they had was an automatic navi. that was pretty much gutless. im goin to look at the 6 speed on the 16th, theyre gettin a black on black navi 6 speed in (perfect). and i also found out that because im military honda will honor the warranty over there, however i get reimbursed for all the repairs. im still alittle skepticle of that. should i sell prescious "hooked up" or should i bring it back to stock? i know i can get more for her as is, but i can sell her faster in stock form for less. this whole thing just makes me sick to my stomach.

I test drove a 6-speed TSX @ Ferman Acura when they first came out and really liked it. The 6-speed is sooooooo crisp feeling, the shifter just falls into every gear.

Peace, Love & Acura
Wilp, you will love the TSX 6 speed. I test drove one at a dealer turn out when it was released in '04 or late '03, I can't remember. But it was great. Strong as an ox but sleak and it had bluetooth and navi, and all that. As for Precious... don't tear her down. That would be an abomination. that is one sweet whip. I am sure there is someone in your area that will take her in one piece. We sure will miss ya'. Keep 'em flying bro. Have fun in Europe. Oh and yeah, a girl with a cocknee accent is pretty trippy. "The rain in spain falls mainly on the plain." Audry Hepburn was no "good girl." ha ha lmao.

well someone came by today to look at her.. they are gonna put in for a loan at the credit union this weekend. i felt like someone shot me in the chest when he said he liked it and wanted it. even worse its a husband of someone i work with. so i get to see prescious driven by someone else until i leave. this is so weird.. i feel like my girlfriend just broke up with me.

After driving the TSX you'll forget all about the CL.
Just think...you'll have 6 gears to play with now. No more sitting there letting the car drive YOU. I'd sell Shannon's CL in a heartbeat if I could get a TSX. Screw that, I'd sell Shannon!
