yeah i got a g23 in the making. i've got the money and a list of where i can get all the parts, except i cant find the timing components anywhere. im considering just buying a whole h22, scraping off all the shit that i need, and parting out the rest of it. p72, p28, or p13 ecu's will work, but the p13 i've heard is your best bet. apparently the p28 has shitty vtec.

and as for the plugs i think pirate just plugged them with epoxy or something.

he didn't plug them with epoxy cuz epoxy is a primer that you spray over bare metal so that it doesn't rust when doin bodywork & you can apply fibreglass/bondo/2-part on top of it..

What do you mean "shitty vtec"? The P05, P06, P28, P30, P72, P75 all have the same board design and vtec can be added those that don't already have it. It's just a simple wire connection, I don't understand how one could be different from another.

maybe we're talking about different forms of epoxy. my dad sells concrete admixtures and we usually have a few barrels of epoxy around the garage and he occasionally mixes some up to repair shit. it dries up and apparently is harder than steel or somehting. but whatever.

i cant find the pullies for the timing belt. h22 cam gears use a different belt than the f23 so i need all the h22 pullies driven by the timing belt, along witht the upper timing belt cover. i also cant find the h22 rear water pipe you have to cut and splice with the f23 pipe.

Everything is coming along nicely, I just have no more money to spend until I start working again in May. I still need to buy exhaust piping, muffler, oil line kit, intercooler, guages, new clutch, headgasket, fuel pump, and a few other small things.

I guess it's got something to do with the P13 opening up secondary butterflies and the others not. I don't really understand it though

i think the first ever h22 head swap was on a f22. look on honda-tech. there's a 70-page thread full of information on what you need to do.

the guy that did the h23 head swap went into a little bit more detail. his was more of a writeup than the 70-pager. i imagine the installation of the two (h22 and h23) would be pretty much the exact same with the exception of the vtec wiring or whatever. go out and grab a haynes/helms manual. i imagine one of those would come in handy.
