I have seen conflicting information about Frost White. Some sites say they do not have clear coat on Frost White and others say they did put clear coat on it. I do know on the paint code it doesn't have the word "clear coat" included as it does with all the other colors.

I am guessing that is why there are conflicting information on the web about it, but does anyone know for a fact what Acura did on Frost White?

 

Just called the paint store and they said the the factory used a 1 stage paint but they could make a basecoat/clear coat paint in this color if I would rather use a clear coat paint but you could not put clear coat over enamel paint that the factory used

 

When i mix my paint at work on the paint machine were you type the vin and the macine mixes Exact paint it calls for 40.0 % clear to every 2 ounces its somthing like White 80 % , Weak black 10 % , Green 2 %, yellow 2 % , orange 2% , Clear coat 4 % hope it helps

 

There definitely should be clear coat
