Front Suspension - Noise from Spring when turning

99 CL 2.3 137K

I replaced the shocks in the front of my car a couple of weeks back. I have noticed after that I am getting a noise from the spring like the spring is trying to move in the housing if I turn hard left at slow speeds. This would happen for example when pulling out of a parking lot. It is almost a creaking noise.

Is there suppose to be a piece of rubber that the spring sits on in the front suspension? I know it does in the rear.

Any thoughts on what might be going on?

Is there a L and R for the shock/spring combo? If so I might have messed that up because I didnt pay attention to the sides except for the fork becasue I know that is handed.

ive got kinda the same thing happening on the left side. all i could figure is that its my shock tower rubbing against the strut bar. because it only happends when i hit bumps.

Was everything seated right on during your installation? mounts, cushions, springs, struts? You do mean struts and not shocks right?

After replacing both front axles the sounds went away! I guess it was more of a click than a spring noise.
