Went to the track for the first time yesterday to see what my car could do. My goal was a low 16 seeing as I had an old 4th gen accord once that pulled a 16.5 withjust a warm air intake. All day i ran consistent 16.60s launching anywhere from 4 to 5 grand. After getting severly PO'ed all day, on my last run i figued what the hell and launched at 6 grand and pulled a 16.3 out of my ass .

What are your first time experiences at the track?

 

You're launching way too high unless you have slicks!

I launch at like 2,700-3,200 in my 2.3 and still spin alot.
You must have been sitting at the line for days!

What were your 1/8th times if it said, I'd like to see.

This is with a slipping clutch, also the track has been recently paved so its extra sticky.
