You can install an amp and sub, but it's kind of a pain in the ass, you have to splice into the wires going into the amp, and use a convertor to get the signal to rca's to the amp. The bose amp is on the right side of your trunk next to the jack, behind the carpet. It's a black box, that's bolted in, and has a wiring harness running into it. I chopped all those wires, and spliced them back together so that I could bypass the stock amp with my aftermarket head unit, but people on here say that you can run a remote trigger wire to it, and it will work.

im getting ready to put an amp and sub in my car too.... can anyone tell me, is it possible to just tap into the remote turn on wire for the stock amp and run it to my new amp? and which wires do i tap into for the L.O.C? the rear speaker wires that are sending the signal into the stock amp, or the ones that are coming out of the stock amp? thanks for the help.
