fawk....... tire blew out last night

damn..... i was coming home from school last night at about 8pm on 695 outside of Baltimore, and my right front tire blew out.

this happened at about 80 mph... i felt my steering wheel start to shake and all that so i begin to pull over to the shoulder and as i slow down it gets worse and worse. i'm thinking FAWK!
i get out of the car....... it's flat....... and half of the tire came off the rim also.

to make matters even worse, my dumb-ass took the spare and the jack out for autox-ing and never put it back in.

so im stuck. on the side of the road. with a flat. and no spare.

so i call one of my friends up, and he makes the 40+ minute drive to my location with a jack and one of his oem accord rims. 2 hours later from the blowout im am finally home.

lessons learned: ride around without a spare only on raceday, never otherwise.
you're nothing without your friends.... especially those that come to the rescue with a spare tire.

for other stuff..... my rims are for sale.

6, yes, count them -six- 5zigen GP-8's. 1 of them has a good tire. 1 rim has a repairable crack in it.
size is 17x7 with a 42 offset.
500 + shipping.

i want to buy the roats

Lucky that you didnt damage your rim, that would have been costly, replacing the tire sucks though. Just be glad that you safely got off the road, front tire blowouts in a FWD car can be dangerous.

Bogdan, that sucks!

I'm glad you didn't wreck! Did the rim get fucked up?

BTW: It's time to hit the track! Shall we get the local NOVA/DC/MD boys together for a mini-meet?

Sucks I just blew out a back tire on my car at 85 and it handled pretty well but it was completely shreaded so i ended up getting two new rear tires and the dumbass but directional tires on backwards and inflated them to 50 psi instead of 32 now i have to go argue with them

Those 80mph+ front blow-outs are fun, aren't they!! Me doing 80 on Rt81, behind a Porche and one car in front of him. A 4x4 piece of lumber on the highway. Wack-Wack-Wack! The Porche and I didn't have time to react cause as soon as the first car hit it, we were already on top of it. It pressed the tire against the rim so hard that the rim cut out the square fold out of the sidewall.
