You gotta tell your boy to get a camcorder w/ night vision. Most cameras now have it. It's too hard to see your videos at night. Either that or get a DV, easy to convert to mpg files, and most come w/ nightvision.
If you manage to get hold of a first gen sony camcorder w/ nightvision, you can actually see through clothing.
