F20b

I would like to drop this engine (JDM F20B) in my car using my stock F tranny.

Is this a good idea?

Also, I've read on here that the f20b does not have enough torque for a 1997 CL. So, why list it as an option?

Yes it's a good idea. The F20B doesn't have as much torque as an H22 or H23 but it revs higher and has iron linings instead of FRM so it's easier to hold power adders later on down the line without having to sleeve it. It also has more torque than the F23 and more horesepower, so it is in fact a viable option.
