well i might be saying goodbye to the CL forum.... just got in a accident today, someone made a left turn right in front of me and I hit them, both air bags deployed so im sure they are going to total the car.... im so pissed I loved that car it was it perfect condition... pics to come later

Sorry to hear that, man, i never like to hear about people gettin into wrecks. Other than the possible car loss, everyone alright? Maybe you can get your hands on a CL-S 6speed if it is totalled. That's what i did when i totalled my 98 Maxima.

good news for u, i havent acutually installed the muffler and resonator, it was going in tomarrow, so i still have those parts in the box


BUT, my acura dealer as some tan cl 5sp, i didnt check the mileage or anything but if it is totaled maybe I can get that tan cl painted

I am really sorry and I feel your pain. I had an accident on June 10th in my 1990 325ic which has under 53k orig miles and was in perfect never crashed condition. I am in Mexico and the freaking unlicensed 18 year old that drove across the primary road I was on says it was somehow my fault so both cars still sit in impound.

I have no idea the extent of the damage and have to wait up to six months for a Judge to rule.

that really blows, yeah it just hurts so much.... the CL is such a beauty and there is no way to recoupe any initial investment in a car. i just talked to the insurance people at State Farm and they said that the body shop I was going to take my car to is on their preferred list so they will trust their estimate and its in the computer as a repair first if possible so i think the $1100 x 2 for the air bags and it looks like I will need a new a whole new front end, hood, front headlights, turn signals, radiator. fans, horn, etc. im guessing $2500-3000, then paint and labor so thats still less than fair market value $7000-8000 im guessing so who knows, i still might have a cl

if it is totaled I will definately buy it back to part out, the interior tan leather is still perfect, AEM V2 didnt look touched (i will include the recharge kit with it too), my muffler and resonator in still new in box though

naa my car is impounded too right now, the cops called their own tow truck company, wouldnt even let me call AAA. not to mention the car is my dads name so he has to drive home from camping to get a release from the police department and then tomarrow i have to pay to get it out of the pound. them damn cops must have a contract with that company, scamming assholes!!!

Because 99.9% of the people here are uninsured unless the people involved agree to terms they take both cars. Worst part is (1) he drove across the primary road (2) he is unlicensed (3) it is illegal to move the cars after an accident and he moved his over 15 feet (trying to run) (4) the aftermath was in the paper so it is clear as to what happened.

He refuses to agree to anything short of we each pay our damage. All my parts have to come from Germany (1 month wait at best) and are about 41,000 pesos (3700.00) based on what I can see.

there is a 2001 Maxima SE 5spd on the lot right next to my body shop 220 hp starting aint bad but I still loved my CL

I owe one year of payments on mine and I believe I'm finally at the point where I owe less than what the cars worth. Just don't know yet.

Just been thinking about this "value" thing for a while now that I'm getting close to having her paid off.

Get the Maxima! I like the CL, but there's no way in hell I'd get another one. There's just too many good cars out there to chose from. That 02 6spd Maxima sounds awesome! My next car will probably be a sedan and stick.
