exhaust question

I was looking at purchasing a Magnaflow muffler and getting the custom piping made to fit my 3.0. Does anyone know the difference in sound between the street series and race series. I want that deep sound. On ebay there is a race series muffler, but still has a 2.25 inlet and 4 tip, which is similar to some of the street series models. The model number is 14851. It quotes that the race series is for cars with turbo and nitrous, but my car is completely stock, just wondering if it will sound ricey, or there will be a loss in backpressure. Thanks.

OK, are you looking for a cat back or axle back system? If so, you can save some cash with the axle back and buy the bolt on for the 94-97 accord, recent experience showed me that this works. For a cat back, you have to custom fab. the midpipe, and it will cost much more in addition to the muffler. Depending if you want alumnum piping or stainless, the prices could highly vary. I decided to mod a cat back for the accord to fit, and saved myself some money over a custom fab, yet got a very hig quality setup for less money.

i would prefer axle-back. so that axle-back magnaflow for the 94-97 accord does work on our 3.0's with minor hanger adjustment, or so what i have seen on previous threads. i think i will go with that, just have to wait til one comes back up on ebay. thanks.

Sorry man, no pics of my exhaust yet, i will be taking pics whe my car is all completed, right now it is kinda half assed. I can't say what type of exhaust it is either, i want it to be a surprise. If you want a 4-4.5" tip on a CL, take a look at Got Rice?'s sig, he has an N1 style. I didn't even need to make hanger adjustments on my car.
