Engine Quitting - Electrical??
It appears that out of the blue while I'm driving, the car will completley die... everything shuts off (i.e. engine, radio, lights). But then it will re-start a second later (needless to say, a little dangerous on the highway).
Anyways, the check engine light is not on... and it is happening under all different driving conditions (highway, stop light) and all different variables (radio on/off, light on, heated seats)
Any insight would be appreciated.
ps. just installed a new battery, and alternator a month ago.

yea...it might be the ignition switch...awhile back there was recall on all 1st generation CL's on the ignition switch.....i've Xperienced one time when i was driving my car just shut off on me in the middle of the road and had to pull off to the shoulder...i poped the hood and everthing seemed okay...wen i tried to startthe car again the ignition wasnt working properly and then a couple of months later i got a letter from ACURA notifying me of the recall......so ur the only one who has this

if not the ignition recall, check the chassy ground from the battery to the frame and the frame to the engine. if they are old lookin replace them, pretty cheap to fix.

Still trolling
I had a wack similar scenario. Everything dimmed, RPM's fluctuated, etc. The alternator was dying... Get it going again and see how hot the Alternator is. Mine was on fire.
