EGR Valve question, not asked before
My check engine light came on when I noticed the car idling a little rough and I also noticed my gas milage decreasing slightly. I checked the code and its the EGR Valve, pretty simple. I noticed something else and was wondering if anyone knows if its related. I drive on the highway everyday and noticed that my overdrive dosen't kick in right away. It takes about 10-15 minutes of driving before it finally engages. Could this be related to the EGR valve? I was thinking that it may interfere with a heat sensor or something like that in the tranny. The OD seems to engage when the car has been at optimal temp. for a few minutes. Any thoughts?

I can't answer your question directly, but I'm experiencing some of what you are. I think it's time to take the CL for the emissions warranty/recall work.
If you haven't hear about the warranty/recall, check here: http://public.fotki.com/dustbuster4/emissions_warranty/ [Click on "Get Original Uploaded Photo" for huge pics.]

note i have had this provedure done before. i have taken the car to acura and they covered it under the new emissions control warrenty. tell them nothing about the mods. if they dont ask dont telll. i have had mine serviced for that and it took them about 2.5 hours. you need to get it done it will cause problems in the long run if you dont get it fixed. it wont cost you a thing. if you are sure it is te egr shit then tell them thats what it is, but you can have them check the engine light code as well if you sure it is a egr code they wont make you pay for a thing, i didnt
