yeah id keep the stock cat too, from what ive read the test pipe can make it pretty loud/ricey and if you got 2.5" piping then you might lose a little low end torque with a straight pipe

i just installed a catco cat.. 2.25'' inlet and outlet... car feels like it has just a little extra pull all the way through 4th...
basically, ive got 2.25'' piping from the header on now... the cat was either busted or restricting air because it was 1.75'' and teh suck... Either way, Im happy

2.5 piping, Top Speed SS accord headers (needed to be cut and modified).
22'' magnaflow resonator (thanks Eddie), Buddy Club slant tip muffler w/ silencer.
low end tq loss = DEFINATELY.
highway power = A DECENT GAIN
____________
bottom line, i did this mod because i plan to put the lips and skirts on the car,
paint it up and slam it with the Rays 57pro gramlights gunmetal that are sitting
in my basement. I dont want to have a sporty looking car without a little
sport in it. Any one ever heard of Fujitsu f5 intakes?
look on ebay they come with a hat and a duffle bag, i might get one.

looks good, I'm not really a fan of the round mufflers. Too much of a "fart cannon" look imho. I prefer the look of the 5x8 mufflers, and either stock double pipe tips or single big tip.
Kinda sucks on the low end losses though. I decided on just doing axle back of 2.25" since that's the only part it's restrictive at all. Coist me $90 for the muffler and will probably be around $115 for the piping & install.
what size piping did you get btw? 2.5" or 2.25"

yeah 2.25 is stock till the rear axle area then it drops down to 1.75. I'm just cutting off the 1.75 part and making it match teh 2.25 of the rest. that way instead of losing a lot of low end and getting it back at the top, I lose a little low end adn get it back at the top.
