Doing a little needed maintaining, oh and HI..
Hey there I think I registered for this board quite a while ago, but forgot my pasword as stapler123 or somthing,
Anywho I was doing some overdue maintaining (water pump and timming chain) on the cl today, and I am trying to take the crank pully off of the engine. I don't know which way to turn the bolt though. I Have had my impact gun on it both waysm but that isnt working.
Anybody know weather the bolt turns clockwise or counter clockwise?

Professional doesnt always mean job well done man, anywho i've been servicing on my cars since I got one. It't not to tough really, but knowing which way the bolt comes off helps allot.
I dont know mabee its a desese i have from my bmw's. Service is way to high so just take the time and do it myself. Also I like knowing the car well enough to dig into it onto occasion.

the flywheel is a holy bitch to get off. You need a special tool to hold the flywheel steady. U might be able to borrow it from autozone or the dealership.

Nah. I was getting the crank pully. Not the flywheel thats for another day.
The crank needs a special tool too but i made one with home depot plumbing supplies.
Anyway for future reference counter clockwise is the correct direction.
