Does yours RUB...with a 1.5" or more drop???

I just wanted to know if a 1.75" front / 1.5" rear drop will cause rubbing? I was thinking of getting Neuspeed Sports. The only problem is that I may actually have 2 people in my back seat sometimes (300-400lbs extra).
Does anyone have a problem with rubbing (with or without passengers)???

A local shop said the Neuspeeds would rub whereas "the Eibach Sportlines would not because of some ingenious engineering". That seems wierd to me.

no offense, but that shop sounds full of shit to me.....

i have neuspeeds and i have never rubbed even with three big guys in the back seat.

a good tire+rim combination will keep the height of the tire the same as the stock 16's with the tires. so if you dont rub with them, you probably wont rub with the 17's.

ingenious engineering my ass...... neuspeeds have a stiffer spring rate than the eibachs anyway. your local shop sounds like a buncha idiots IMO.

in short.. no, they wont rub

I have eibacj sports 2+" drop, tokiko shocks and ST sways... I run a 17" rim with 225/45 tires...

Normally all i rub is my undercarriage over large speed bumps, and my noise and exhaust on inclines w/ or w/out passengers... The only rubbing I have with passengers is when i hit large bumps while driving, then the tire rubs the wheel well...

2 inch drop on 17's with 205/40 tires. Never rubbed the tires even with 5 people in the car.
Only problem is going over speed bumbs which will rub the frame the exhaust piping, or sometimes even the headers.

I HATE SPEED BUMPS!!!

Thats good, cause with the Neuspeeds, I will roughly have a 1.5-1.75 drop and I have 17's with 215/45, so that should equal your setup.

w/ 17's you should be fine. I have eibach sportlines and 18's on my 3.0 and it rubs everyonce in awhile

all depends on how wide and what your offset is.

as for the eibach vs. neuspeed thing... my only guess would be that maybe the eibachs are progressive while the neuspeeds are a fixed rate spring.

that would allow the eibachs to stiffen up a lot more during body roll.

Ya I have 17's with 215/45, so the "tire tallness" should be same as stock. I'm not sure what offset I have though.

they are both progressive springs. if anyhting the eibachs go a little lower than the neuspeeds.

im with soop... if you have a bad offset, youre gonna rub with pro-kits.

I hope this doesn't sound stupid (I don't know much about offset and that kind of stuff). Is there anyway to figure what my offset is? Is it from the manufacturer of the rim?

normally, inside the rim you'll see a mark for the offset (e.g., ET 40 means +40 offset). dunno what ET stands for, but it is for offset.

i got the sportline kit.....it does not rub at all. it did when i had 16's and some big ass tires like 55's or 60's or somethin....But that was only when I had 2 people in the back...But now i got 17's with some 40's and there isn't any rubbing...i think that shop is full of shit also....ask them which set is cheaper, and if they say neuspeed then go somewhere else, cause they're tryina dick you around. deal with people that actually want to help you, and not just take your money.
