whoa...well there was an ignition recall a while back (along with the EGR recall) Maybe you car never recieved the recall work and its still broken?
I'd call the local Acura dealer and ask. Also, im sure more members here know about that recall. (mine wasnt one that needed fixed so i dont know much about it)

There was an ignition recall, because the key popped out while the car was on. Go to the ack dealer, they will fix it for you. Tell them to look it up, it's a known recall.

The egr recall is not for the 2.x it is only for the 3.0 if there is a check engine light on in your car and the code states EGR flow insufficient.
There has been a key interlock safety recall out for almost of all the first gen CLs for quite some time now. Call you dealer to get this issue resolved.
There are two repair procedures: if the key is not removable while in any other gear than park, then one piece of the interlock must be replaced. If the key is removable, then the interlock system must be rebuilt according to Honda/Acura.
