Does anybody make a supercharger or turbo that wuold go into a '97 3.0 CL?
I was wondering if I could get my hands on a turbocharger that would fit into a 1997 3.0 CL. The reason I'm asking is because I have a friend that worked for ACura for about a year and a half. He said that the engine bays in the 1997 model year 3.0 were too small to fit a turbocharger because of the way the exhaust manifold was shaped or something. I've also heard that nobody has fabricated a supercharger kit for the 1997s either. Is this true? Is there any method of drastic forced induction availible for my car?

i've also done a little research on superchargers and i found out that a the accord 3.0 v6 has a supercharger available, i would think that it would into a cl but not sure possibly w/ minor adjustments and mods it could work!

Comptech has one that will fit. It's around 4K for about 40 HP. You can custom fit any turbo or supercharger to any car though. But you are then responsible for all the R&D. If you know what your doing it can cost little. If you don't, expect to pay big $. The weakness will be your automatic transmission, it's junk.

A guy quoted me $1000 just for the piping minus headers you still have to add the i/c turbo blowoff wastegate. The supercharger is a ripoff unless you got the $$ to get one. Jackson is suppose to be in the works of one but who knows when that will come out. But i aint doing nothing untill they find a alternative to our weak auto tranny.
I'd really look into serching www.v6performance.net under the honda av6 section they pretty much covered everything on this topic. There is a guy that has successfully swapped a cl-s 6sp with the j30 and its supercharged they claim the whp is suppose to be around 300. most those guys are dynoing around 200 anyways cause they have all mods prior to the SC (headers, exhaust, pulleys, etc)

Yup external tranny cooler and filter will help it out more but the life will be shortend because of the added torque. Im gonna go with a custom turbo setup when i have time and $$. I just think its stupid to spend 4k on a s/c with a set amount of boost. I priced a custom turbo setup and it ran about half of the price of the s/c plus you can adjust the boost to fit daily driving to full out race car.
