Does an air-bypass valve sacrifice performance?

Is there a decrease in HP gain?

ridinnlow is 100% correct.. no gain or loss in hp... all it does is secure that if your filter gets wet, water will not enter your motor because the by-pass will activate and suck air in instead of your wet filter...

hey ridin you takingg the 5hr drive to the meet in westchester sunday?

on the air bypass valve what size valve do i need for the aem cai part# 21-416.please help me..

You should get the 2.75" one, part # 20-402.
