Do I need New tires.......
Ok people here's the question.
My two Front tires are Michelin Energys [about $140.00 each] . They are at 20% tread. My next door neight said that if i cant place a penny inbetween the tread to the point where I cant see some of the penny. Then i'm good for another 2000 miles or so. Is this true?
I'm scepticle because these are my front tires and probably the most important.
If i need to replace them, what brand would be most efficient for the money. I dont feel like puttin down $320.00 for just 2 tires.
Thanks

those energys are shit ... there the stock tires and they suck ass.. im ridin on em now and need new ones badly ... they have "wear bars" on them ... look in the groves of the tread till u see little raised bars goin opposite the tread .. if any of the bar is showing its time to get new rubber

rotate the rears to the front, that will give you the most life of them.
and dont put stock tires back on, go to tirerack.com to search for the best or cheapest tire, which ever one you are looking for.
