Hey, im gettin ready to do this and i did a search and yours was the best post ive found...i love how your engine looks with the paint...before i do this, is there anythin u can tell me about your experience??

what should i do besides liek getting high temp paint...(i was thinkin about like that VHT caliper paint) ...do i need to sand the plastic down?? what grit sandpaper??

can u just breifly like tell me what u did and how to do it and what problems u ran into?? THANKS SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!

CJ, you pmed me before about this didn't you? I decided that to get the look i wanted, i needed to use the factory paint. There is NO need for hi temp paint at all. Nothing gets hot enough to worry about it, plus high temp doesnt look as good. You plastics are only in the proximity of the intake manifold, which runs warm, not HOT. BTW, i had mine done by my bodyshiop friend, who is doing some custom grille work for me as we speak. But to DIY, youve go to sand down, relitively soft grit, clean with water and non lint towel, let it dry then prime. After you let the primer work its magic, spray on some nice thin coats until you get the desired look. For all the agrivation, it was worth me having it done, i am gonna clean ot my pm box now, let me know if you need anything else.
