Debadging
Hey, this is my first post and my 3.0CL has been mine for 1 week now!!!!What I want to know is there holes on the backsides of the badges on the 1998 models? I want to take them off and just have that crazy clean rear...that sounds weird.
Anyway does anyone have any experience in that department? Thanks. Robin

You know how to get them off right? Just heat them up with a hairdryer or something then get some dental floss and run it behind the badges. Then clean up the rest of the stuff with some cleaner or some sort like goo gone

HUH!?
My A badge didn't have holes! It 's been about two years since i debadged, but i know i didn't have holes and still don't. Hmm. Mine's a 97 and BLACK, but here's how i debadged.
Anyway,
fishing string works well with a hair dryer to heat it up. After i used Simple Green to get rid of the excess glue crap. And last your gonna want to use a polish of some sort to blend in -- the badge has up until now covered that area(sun), so you'll be able to see where it was, but if you use a good polish enough times you can blend it so that you can't. Not WAX, Polish. I used Meguir's and it worked fine. Polish enhances the paint, but does NOT protect the finish, so after the polish THEN you'll want to put at least a coat of wax. I once again used Meguir's Caranuba wax, and it's great, but i hear awesome things about Zaino, but havn't gotten around to trying yet.
Good Luck (-:
