DC Sports headers.....
I'm so f'n pissed with the S[hitty]S[tuff] headers, now i'm gonna look into the DC sports...
Is there any problem with the DC ceramic one? Fitment issues? Clearance issues? Is the one for the 98-02 Accord EX/LX 3.0 V6 the correct one for a 97 CL 3.0? I guess DC Sports is AEM now so AEM's sku# HHC5522 is the same as DCs sku# HHC5522 right?
Please give me as much info as possible, i don't want to run into hassles like i am with the SS...
PS. Before you take out your flamethrower and throwing the search button at me, I did do almost an hour of searching and reading but most of the stuff was on the F22/F23, not enough on the J30....

Nope, i just took it off today (again) at 1pm... the problems were:
1) The downpipe (the one behind the engine, not in front) needs to be bent closer to the collector's pipe. Because they were too far away, connecting the cat and the the collector's pipe means that the whole exhaust system will twist and bend and TOUCH the undercarriage of the car. This was the main problem because the vibration and rattling were so terrible that the WHOLE car shook...
2) The SS headers' pipe (where the flange was) were too short that it made connecting the cat and the pipe almost impossible... the mech had to push the whole exhaust system to the front to fit. Which adds to the terrible vibration i experienced last night....
Sooooo, any pointers on the DC?

I don't know about the DC headers, Dustbuster4 had OBX headers on his spraying CL and the only fitment issue he had to bend the downpipe an inch, search if interested.

i had ss headers on my 3.0 and i had all these same simptoms, however they are easily fixable, just bend the metal back where it hits the cat on the bottom side of the car. the exhaust doesent twist it just gets pulled in about 1 inch. and you can bend the frame connector (the piece that goes from front to back on the bottom of the engine. i know it sounds ghetto, but none of these things affect the car what so ever. tho i did have the 03 cl type s 6 speed headers on my 1g cl.. maybee they fit alittle better, and now i have them on my tl-s with no fitment problems what so ever. on the good foot, i have heard good things about the dc headers,

these are my DC Headers. They fit fine on my car for the most part. I think the only thing that gave the mechanic a hard time was lining up the downpipe with the headers but it wasn't that big of a deal. I love these headers though. Theyre a little expensive, but still 1/3 of the price of comptechs.

as you can guess, i've been offline for the weekend...
So how much should i bend the downpipe? How much is it to bend the pipe? what about the ~1 inch short from the collector pipe to the cat? i guess i could tell the muffler shop to weld a small piece of piping to the pipes after the cat... that would solve the problem i think...
thanks
