CV boot throwing grease

i got the oil changed in my car only to find out that my cv boots are leaking grease. They are not cracked but the banding is loose. dealership wants 140 to reband it and 180 to replace the whole boot.

How easy is it to replace the banding on it, dont realy want to spend a couple hundred dollars on my car right now.

you can get the whole shaft (which is a better idea to change the whole thing, you never know how much grease is gone, and the joint may be almost dry in there, meaning the joint is already junk) from Autozone, with a lifetime warranty for like $90 with a core charge (forgot how much) so you return the one off the car, and get some money back (I think it ends up being like $75 after the core)
