yo!, what would any of you guys recommend for a cracking leather seat. i have an 97 cl premium, and the only suggestions i've gotten so far is to have entire seat/cover replaced - boshit, that's cost a lot. is there any shops/areas that does easy fix?

It depends, but since he suggest that you replace the whole thing I would get a second opinion. Leather seat work can be like body work. Sometimes you can touch up, other times it takes too long and you need to just repaint the whole panel.

naw...ive got a 97 3.0 pre. also....2 spots inmy seat were cracking and comming open...i took it to a body shop, they had to order the "factory OEM acura leather" and it took them about 2 days and all they did was rip out the seams to the old bad leather and replaced the to parts with new...easy as that! theres no way in hell they should have to replace the whole seat...they can do it in spots like mine...just call around...
