Consumer Reports & HID's....

Anyone picked up the latest mag issue of Consumer Reports???

www.consumerReports.org

The whole mag is about Cars and theres a HUGE section on HID's....you all should read it...its a good article...they tested all these cars with HID's to determine which ones go farther and it tells all abou tthe legal limits on HIDS and everything...everyone should read the article...its really good....

I just thought i'd let everyone know...im glad i read it before i get them...

PS: they also have a site in their article...they said to see www.coolbulbs.com

Well, even with VXCL's conversion, it's still illegal for us to use HID's. If they don't come factory installed, then they are illegal is basically the gest of it. Although the chances of you getting pulled over and given a ticket to with projector's is a lot slimer...it can still happen. The thing about messing up your vision...hmm I dunno. Stadium fields and parks and such use high intensity lighting too...so am I screwed if I go to too many baseball games? Sorry just my initial-haven't read the article yet- thoughts. Thanks for the heads up though, I will have to check it out.

HID's do not f* up your eyesight at all. The article says that HID's seem to produce more glare when looked upon by oncoming drivers. This is a temporary glare that increases with age as eyes grow more sensitive to scattered light, HID's do not cause eyesight damage.

I agree with you and can't wait to see your pics! I'm trying to get a set of headlights so that I can keep one OEM and get the other done with projectors.
